Request Data Deletion

You can request the complete deletion of your Happy Names data at any time. This page explains what data we store, what deletion means, and how to submit your request.

1. What data we store

• Your anonymous account identifier and pairing code
• Name preferences (likes, dislikes, and skips)
• Pairwise comparisons (ranking decisions)
• Settings (gender, region, filters)
• Pairing information (if you connected with a partner)

We do not store your real name, email address, phone number, or location. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

2. What deletion means

When we process your deletion request, we permanently remove:

• Your user account and all associated settings
• All your name ratings (likes, dislikes, skips)
• All your pairwise comparisons
• Your pairing code and any active partner connection

This action is irreversible. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered. If you were paired with a partner, the pairing will be dissolved but your partner's own data will not be affected.

3. How to request deletion

Option A: In the app

Open Happy Names, go to Settings, and tap "Delete all my data". This deletes your data immediately.

Option B: Via email

If you can no longer access the app, send us an email with your pairing code so we can identify your account.

You can find your pairing code in the app under Settings → Your Code. It is a 6-character code (e.g., "AB3XY7").

4. Processing time

Email requests are processed within 7 days. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.
